I'm clumsy, and I *always* end up with my fingers on the glass. I have an
oily complexion too, and that always ends up getting onto my fingers and
then onto the glass. So I leave the UV filter on.

PS. my fingers slip right over the shade and onto the glass at the
damnedest times. Another reason for keeping the UV filter on.
