no danger, or astonishingly little. ground glass transmits light and mirrors 
reflect it, so no danger of them gettin hot enuf to burn.

never burned an m-shutter myself but i'm always conscious of the danger. I've 
even taken shots directly into the sun without problems -- any kid with a 
magnifying glass terrorizing ants can tell you it takes a while for that hole 
to burn.
