I talked to Leica USA and a dealer relative to the 90 mm APO-ASPH and was 
told the lens is ONLY made in Germany but some of the boxes in which the 
lenses are shipped say "made in Canada."  There was also a message on the LUG 
that an owner of a 90 mm APO-ASPH stated the lens was stamped "made in 
Germany."

If Leica USA, the owner, and the dealer are correct, Leica Germany has just 
continued its current past time of shooting itself in the foot at each 
opportunity.
