Hi, Dan, I hate to talk about MTF's, but you may like to refer to the data at the Photodo sites. http://www.photodo.com/templates/display.lasso?show=93 Personally, I am an admirer of Zeiss glass and *prefer* Zeiss. Nonetheless I should admit Mamiya makes great glass that is *comparable* to Zeiss. >Although I would beg to differ, what are that facts that makes you think >that the Mamiya optics have that Leica-M characteristics? I wanted to point out that with a Mamiya 7 you can keep the same shooting style for rangefinder cameras as with your Leica M. Mamiya, Zeiss, and Leica all have different characters in their optics. >Finally, what camera systems/configurations are you comparing with which >makes you come to the conclusion that their "size/weight is relatively less >burdensome"? Pentax 67, Bronica, Mamiya 67, and other MF SLRs. I have not "felt" the size/weight of Hassey, but it may worth comparing the catalogue data. Also, IMO, Mamiya 7 is excellent for hand-held shooting. You can point and shoot. ;-) Cheers, Mikiro
