As many of you know, there's been a lot of communication lately about the 
scratching of film in some recently purchased M6s. My camera was one of 
them.  The scratches were on the back of the film and seemed to be caused 
by the pressure plate.

I just got my M6 back today from Leica USA and on first inspection it 
appears that the pressure plate has been replaced. I did not receive any 
written confirmation of this though. I may get some official paperwork to 
document the repair. If I do I'll share it with you.

The important part is that upon winding a roll of film through the camera 
there are NO scratches! I'll have total confidence in the repair as soon 
as I can run a few more rolls. 

I'm quite pleased with the service I've received from Leica through my 
local dealer. My camera was gone exactly 1 week and it came back fixed. 
That's about all anyone can ask for. :)
