Close can also mean mentally close. 

There are enough sensless and meaningless pictures in the magazines and
newspapers. Since the automatic and autofocuscameras took a lot of the
technical knowlege from the photographers responability, there are a lot
of freaks outside, shooting pics you can see in the papers with "the new
sens of photography" look which do not say a lot. Each lens has itīs
personality, itīs strong and itīs weak sides. And with a certain lens
your picture will have  a certain "speach". All the rest is the
interpretation of the photographer. At the end it is you who desides who
to take a pic and which tool to use.
