So far it would seem I am aquireing the slowest lense I can find. My Nikon/Canon/Pro friends can't believe I would be happy with a 90/2.8 . I can't think of a time or shot when I've used it wide open. It must have happened. I won't be trading it up for the new so-sharp-you-can-cry Sumicron as my lens is big enough and the results I've gotten from it on the 8 by 10 prints I just made on the Ilford Multigrade fiber warm shot with pan f scream somthing other than NIKON (my previous love not completely jilted). There is something else qualitywise going on in these prints. I am pleased. Same goes for my new 35/2 ASPH. I so far don't feel at all contrained about hand holding 1/8 of a second wide open and getting great results let alone the pep up on lately being able to use 1600 ASA and zone focus away. And I occasionally love to blast away with a flash on the hot shoe as uncool as that might be to some and you can always use a little cord which I should do soon. When I shoot in the dark dark I use a tripod and stop down, get it all in focus and set a timer. It's great not having to hassel with a mirror lock up routine. The only person left is shining their shoes. Mark Rabiner We really stirred 'em up this time!
