[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]mitch, although my friend harrison has the newer Nocti with the built-in hood, i have the older version (just prior to this one) with the clip-on hood. the filter size, however, is the SAME as on the newest lens (e60). the earlier Noctilux had a 58 size filter, i believe. my Nocti makes wonderful images (hey, Harrison bought one after borrowing mine), but i must agree with Harrison that it's nice to have the built-in hood on the lens. i'm sure it's just my imagination, but his lens actually feels a tad "smaller" than mine. again, that impression may be due to the built-in hood. regardless of which version you buy, you'll love the lens. have fun. :-) kim At 08:34 PM 3/27/99 -0600, you wrote: >Mitch, > >I saved a few extra dollars to get the more recent version with the >builtin hood...much nicer than th eolder clip on thing...blocks less >finder and does not fall off and get lost.
