Wildflowers in Texas are in full bloom around Easter weekend or so.  Last year
the better half and I drove 430 miles one Saturday around central Texas (I'll
send you particulars if you wish) and I went thru about 5 or 6 rolls of film
with the R's on just wildflowers. Got a couple of magazine covers for the
effort, plus some great prints in the home.

Best bet -within 50 miles west of I35 between D/FW on the north and south of
Austin to the south.
