It mearly closes a = circuit for a split second, causing the strobe to flash. It could be a = bad connection, bad synch cord, etc. If the setup works with another = camera, or when shorting the cord, then your camera is at fault. It = happens.=20 Yesterday I bought an adapter to allow the use of ordinary synch cords = with my M3. It cost $7.00.
