Gareth,

having used both, the major difference I've noticed is it's contrast and
speed. I used XP2 at 200 ASA and found quite often I'd be using a #3 or
even 4 filter on Ilford Multicontrast RC paper. With the new XP2 Super, I
rate it (usually) at 320 and find I'm printing using a #1 1/2 or #2 filter.
The new emulsion seems to have great "snap" (pardon my overly technical
terminology!)
