[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Alex, If I remember right (I don't have the famous instruction manual any more), it involved hammering on the top plate until the rangefinder was all black, hitting the body casting with something hard (hammer, rock, butt of the gun, etc.) until it was deformed, smashing the glass in the lens(es). Makes you cringe doesn't it! Maybe someone on the LUG has a copy of the original manual and can illuminate us in the proper way to destroy a Leica - rather than the more mundane way of shooting 10,000's rolls of film and never use an (n)ever-ready case and drop the camera into the shoulder bag with no dividers or padding to protect it! I think I prefer the latter way, but just in case, maybe we should know how to do it properly. Tom A
