As far as the 3.6 and 3.4 numbers, be wary. Apparently you have to know more
about
how those numbers are calculated. Apparently, methods differ, etc.  Also,
the
ICE technology does soften the image overall. . .While this is obviously a
good scanner
for the money, it can't touch a drum scan: avaiable on photoCD for very
reasonable
prices at various places. eg:
