[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Hello to all -- Francois Brunelle, Bill Caldwell and I are delighted to report that arrangements for the MALUG event on Saturday, 2/27 are now complete and we are eager to welcome LUGers and LUGer "wannabes" to the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C. We believe that the agenda schedule and topics permit outstanding opportunities for all in attendance to learn, share and contribute to the wealth of Leica knowlege, technique and fellowship in the best spirit of the LUG. For those of you who have not yet confirmed your participation, please let us hear from you right away! The registration fee of $35 includes a terrific lunch, a roll of Kodak film and (best of all) a Tom Abrahamson Softie to the first 30 registrants. The featured presenters are well worth the price of admission, and all of us look forward to each individual attendees' thoughts and comments throughout the day. I have secured a special rate for Friday night, 2/26 of $99 (plus tax) for those who wish to arrive the night before, so please email me if you would like a reservation. 8:30 - 9:30 "Leica Today" Where is our favorite company going...and how! 9:30 - 10:30 Leica Historical Society: Bill Bivens will present on vintage and wartime Leicas, and the heritage and modern value of LHSA 10:30 - 11:15 Swap Meet and Dealers Showcase: Here's the chance to buy and sell new and not-so-new.
