Ken:

If you have stainless reels, I would put reel and all in, making sure the
reel gets cleaned well afterwards.  Do not put plastic in the photoflo as
it reacts with the plastic and can cause a buildup and cross chemical
contamination.  I use plastic reels and just split them in half while the
film is on it and dump the film in the reeled up state in to a 2 cup
measuring cup with photoflo.
