Now, how many black and white? Although I agree that there are inherent invaluable qualities in black and white, the creation of a "great" photograph has much to do with institutions. Apparently (and I have not heard or seen anything to contradict this), museum do not buy colour photographs since they are not archival, hence the dominance of black and white imagery in institutional galleries. The digital image clearly removes this restriction - has anyone noticed a change?
