The dominant image changes radically, depending on the thread. Guess this is due to the method and media, and that surveys in the LUG cannot be made seriously. Anyway, your bad experience does not converge with the experience of "most of us" (which is a very damaging statement BTW), but with the experience of "some of us", with absolutely no idea of real life percentages. Now that the LUG is archived and that queries work quite well on http://lq.corenetworks.com/lq/search.html?ln=leicausers , a query on "Should the R8 be avoided? " will trace a user group dominantly satisfied with its R8 experience. Seems neverteless that the 1st batches of R8s and the 1st batches of winders had a much higher failure rate than current production.
