Not only will the 180 APO better the famous and great Nikkor 180 2.8 ED, but so will the Zeiss 180 Sonnar (after the Olympia Sonnar to correct a previous post). I am afraid the Nikkor comes 3rd here... and yes, I have used them all extensively.
