I think we can safely say that while some things can be approximated, some more closely that others, that a good many will never be duplicated. They said many of the same things about the comparisons of photography and painting way back in 1839- and both forms of expression are still with us. I think that whatever advances in digital imaging are made, there will always be a place for traditional photography.
