They buy the $399 "apartment" stereo, the Chevy Cavalier, the Fuji "Discovery" P&S, and yes, the new digital cameras....they're all "good enough- get the job done"... On the plus side, their kids have shoes......:) :) Digital will NEVER equal the Leica....Solid state will never equal tubes....etc.... When the digital systems surpass Leica for sharpness/detail, they'll argue that "double-blind testing is meaningless" -- No, they can't TELL the difference to a statistically significant degree, but it doesn't matter. Look at high-end audio. And before all of you climb on my ass, I'm listening to analog through a totally tube signal path (completely homebrew, of course) as I type this..... :):):) Walt On Mon, 1 Feb 1999, James A.Harrison II wrote: > Yes I did want an answer, what I didnt want was a pissing contest because I > didnt phrase my question correctly;; I have worked in a photo lab, nuclear > weapons areas, and assorted other tech areas to know that B means Blue; G > means Green ect;;;jh > > > > James A.
