I had just gotten the lens and I thought - Oh no now I = have to return this gem of a lens and do without. I got home and = noticed that the first metal flange on the lens side was loose in 4 out = of the 5 screws. I took a jewlers screw driver and tightened them up = and voila' problem gone. Before sending it back you might look at this = possibility. I bought the lens from Sam Shoshan and Sam would without a = doubt have made it good as I am sure Tamarkin would but I hate to spend = the time and effort sending things around if I can solve the problem ( = or live with it). =20 Ernie - ------=_NextPart_000_008E_01BE4B6F.BA15DA80 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 HTML//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META content=3Dtext/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1 = http-equiv=3DContent-Type><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD W3 = HTML//EN"> <META content=3D'"MSHTML 4.72.2106.6"' name=3DGENERATOR> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>Dave - I am not a repair person and = don't even=20 play on on TV BUT.....</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>a month ago I was out with my M6 and = 90/2.8 and=20 while sitting thru</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>a recital waiting for my progeny to = play I=20 noticed that the 90 was loose in the </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>mount - not forwards and backwards = but in the=20 same plane as the lens is secured</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=3D#000000 size=3D2>to the body.
