Good stuff, but it does tend to flex a lot when used in small diameter tubes. I note that Canondale bikes use much larger-than-average diameter tubing for rigidity! The carbon fiber Gitzo tripods are great-light but rigid and well damped. Until someone figures out how to draw hollow tubes of ash, this is probably it! Yes, Manfrotto has handier leg locks, but that's life. Oh, speaking of Manfrotto, their 3001 is a nice, light setup at a good price. The 3021 is probably more popular, but there's quite a weight difference between the two. Though it seems to be praised as a gift from the heavens, I do not think the Arca B1 is the ideal ballhead for the M-system--it certainly works, but it's really optimized for heavier cameras. The Arca-type QR system likewise seems a bit oversized for an M camera, and though I like the Really Right Stuff plate that works with it, it does add a bit of bulk and mass to the camera, but it's the best off-the-shelf solution that I've seen so far.
