Subject: [Leica] Velvia or ASTIA

Leica users,
I've just begun taking portraits, nudes, bodyscapes with my Leica M4-P and my
3 lenses (35, 50, 90). I'm using a Norman studio flash generally shot into a
white umbrella. I've used Kodak Elite chrome select series (ASA 100),
Fujichrome Velvia and Fujichrome ASTIA.
The elite looks natural but boring. The Velvia is really rather striking
altho the face color is a bit ruddy. The ASTIA has a smooth glow to it, but
also a slight magenta cast. Of the 3 chromes, I'm leaning to Velvia. It really
is a different chrome to say the least.
Does anyone use Velvia for flesh tones (especially with a studio flash). I'm
an amateur so I don't know what's what.
I intend to print Ilford Delux Classic (Ciba prints) from the chromes in
about a month or two.
I need some assurance that the Velvia for nudes won't be laughed at when I
show folks my work.
Thanks for the input.
Gabe
