At least every other time, someone, not necessarily an older type, walks up and wants to talk cameras. They recognize my gear, and we have some fine conversations about the joys of older equipment. But, then, I'm an approachable cuss, so maybe that's the difference. And none of my nameplates or "red dots" are taped up, so this might be a factor, as well.
