That's not quite the case for U.S. Passport Warranty. At least, I remember
seeing in Leica's in-house publication once that a person put the camera in
the microwave and melted it down to a heap. (It's a wonder the Microwave
survived!) Well, that's not quite fire. But if you can find the puddle of
metal left afterwards, you can get a replacement. (Or repair). ;-)
