Doug:

I shot a football game in pouring rain with an R7 and APO-Telyt 400 2.8 on
a monopod. My wife had just bought a blanket set for the baby's crib and
it came in a clear vinyl zip up bag. I cut a hole in it on one end that
fit the lens hood and taped the lens hood to it with electrical tape. I
then poked a hole in it for the monopod to thread into the lens. The zip
up flap was at the rear with the flap opening up to cover my head as I
looked through the camera. In the half time, I just zipped it all closed
and everything stayed dry.

We got a new comforter for the bed last week and it came in the same type
of bag. Send you wife out to get new linen for the bed and in return you
will get a waterproof bag for your camera.

The pictures taken of the game are here. Maybe when my new Polaroid
scanner arrives, it can do better justice to my darker slides.
