What you can do is shoot 2 rolls of chrome film. Send one roll to Kodak for processing and have instructions NOT to mount. Take the other roll at the same time to your regular lab. Have the slides mounted. Now, I would consider the kodak roll as the control roll and the new roll from your lab as evidence. Make sure you use the same exact emulsion of film, hopefully from the same emulsion batch (kodak pro films have this data). Make sure your camera is cleaned of film chips etc. Look at the film area of the camera critically with a magnifier. Now if you determine the film is being scratched by the camera, by all means send the film sample you have just shot in with the camera, so the technician can pinpoint and rid the camera of the offending scratcher. gck
