And though the finder is plastic and not very attractive in construction, it does give an extremely clear and uncluttered view with good framing precision. I even find that using the separate viewfinder is a bonus for shooting real wide angle with the M. The angle of view of the 24mm is quite a bit larger than 28mm. I therefore do not think NOT using the viewfinder is a good idea: the user will always feel insecure as to what is actually in the picture and rightly so. Many people even use a separate finder for the 28mm, since the limits are so hard to see in the M6 viewfinder when you wear glasses, as I also do.
