They will not keep out blowing sand nor all of the water that you will encounter while tramping through the woods. They are however, very fast to use and a great tool for journalists. I just picked up a used Billingham primarily because it will seal out the elements a little better. I also try and keep a couple of 13 gallon, kitchen style garbage bags close at hand when out in the weather. They will tighten around a camera, big lens and tripod head very quickly. You will most likely find a better selection of Domke bags to compare by going up the street to Optek Camera. Overall Glazer's does have the better selection of brands.
