Right on the cover. At the time mine cost about $1,500 for both. That was way off. And probably caused people to avoid even reading about them. Why bother? >PUBLICATIONS DO NOT ALWAYS AGREE WITH EACH OTHER. TESTS ARE NOT ALL THE >SAME. Hey, don't shout. I know that, I was reacting to someone else's statement that they are all the same. >You >appear to be more annoyed at Pop Photo because they told the truth, saying >that those particular Leica lenses were not very good. Personally I like >knowing the truth. Well, not being insulting is the way we try to keep it around here, okay? I could say you're full of crap, but I'm not into those kind of pissing matches. ;-) I know more about photography that you seem to think I do. I have used lots of lenses. I have used lenses Pop Photo has tested. I know how they perform. I am a journalist. I really care about the truth, for your information. And from my personal experience, Pop Photo is not a good source for testing information. I don't know a single professional who takes them seriously. Or finds their tests that useful. And let's not get into a pro vs. amateur discussion here. I know there are lots of professionals who are slobs when it comes to technical matters. I am not talking about them. But professionals I'm talking about are usually very technically adept. Who care about quality. Those are who I'm talking about. But I don't go around telling people they're blind, or don't care about the truth, but I do. If they find them useful, just because I disagree with the tests, is not a problem for me or them.
