Hi LUG;

If you have been considering a different focusing screen [than the universal
screen provided with the camera], do it. I finally swapped mine out, and
the view is vastly improved. The screen seems brighter, too, without the
universal screen's busy split image/microprism ring. Focusing anything
shorter than a 50 requires, well, a little more focus, but not more than
thoughtful photography requires.

With the 24mm mounted, focusing is not vague; the correct focus still "pops"
sufficiently to provide confidence that one has things properly focused.
Might be complicated with 15/16/19mm lenses aboard. With anything longer
than a 50, it is so nice to have all that stuff out of the way, I can't
imagine why I waited so long to get rid of the split image/microprism ring.

Installation was a snap, too. In and out in less than a minute!

Enjoy the light [even more without the universal focusing screen]!

Greg
