I still think the R7 is the premier R camera. Yes, the R8 has a few neat new features, but if you cannot use them (the camera) what good are they? Even when you get your R8 back will you take it, as your only camera, on a long outing or trip? Maybe R8's are only supposed to be used north of the equator... ;-)
