Subject: FW: [Leica] pocket camera

Has anyone had a recent experience deciding on a pocket camera ?

I travel one week a month, sometimes two and have been using an Olympus XA
for many years. The take-up spool is beginning to slip and I imagine it
won't be worth repairing.

I have never paid attention to the Minilux, T2, Hexars etc. My priorities
are small size, ( I can't carry my M and want literally a pocket camera), a
fast lens, a bright, high magnification viewfinder and a reliable meter. I
don't care about auto focus and rarely use flash.

I'm off to Europe tomorrow morning and will catch up to any suggestions at
the end of the week. I'm petrified that the XA will give out and my PAD
string will be broken !
