Our Japanese peer appears more concerned with the tone then the term.
(and the context)
If we said the dirty "Canads" stole stuff from the french we would be
mad at the "dirty" and the "stole", but the shortening of the term
"Canadian's" to "Canad's" would hardly be the issue.
