If you have a "ragged" horizon with trees, mountains or buildings, you might get away with it. I haven't tried it in the mountains or from an airplane, but from terra firma on the Canadian prairies the primary rainbow doesn't quite fit the long dimension of the frame with the 21mm, and the secondary rainbow is nowhere near to reaching the ground. We're about 580m above sea level. Altitude makes a difference. If you are up high enough in an airplane, you can get 360 degree rainbows, if you are lucky. I've gotten the hemispherical rainbow in with a C**on 17mm lens in 35mm format from the ground. _ [o] -GH
