Due to the remnants of a head cold and the effects of self-prescribed
generous doses of Knockando, my stroke-of-midnight image would have
required a Noctilux and TMax 3200 pushed several stops to get
something barely printable of my inert horizontal form.

However, earlier in the season, I did discover the utility of the R
electronic remote control for portraits including both self
and canine companion. With the R4 and winder from which Sherry
Krauter recently exorcised all the demons, I set the remote control
to trip the shutter every 18 seconds or so. This interval allowed the
Speedotron to recharge itself and me enough time to try to get the
labrador into position. Three acceptable shots out of 36 resulted;
the rest were of dog walking toward the camera, dog's rear facing
camera, dog being pulled into position, etc.

And, belatedly, LUGs, please accept my best wishes for '99.

Roy
