I did consider SLR for the work (since I already have one, but not Leica)... but I've settled on the M system specifically because I think it's less intimidating to the subject. Besides, the M allows the subject to sort of "go with the flow," vs. the SLR where he/she would strike a pose and freeze until the mirror flap is heard. Apparently, the 50 Summicron is excellent wide open (saw Mr. Alexey Merz's post on photo.net, thanks), so I'll try that out before I dump the $$$ on a Noctilux. I'll also look into the 90... now that the APO-ASPH version is coming out, I hope I can find a late model f/2 for a reasonable price.
