How does >this compare with a similar age Hektor or Elmar? The Canon 135/3.5 is a nice sharp lens, has good contrast, and balances well on the M-camera with my SM-M adapter. I like it more than the 135 Elmar which is longer by comparison. However, I cannot be sure that they are of the same vintage. I only have the 135 elmar to compare it with and I have no experience with a Hektor. >I just got a really nice M2 so I'm going to sell my older one. The old M2 >has light ID marks scratched on it and is in about ex shape cosmetically. >Mechanically and optically its perfect. What do you think I should ask for >it? From experience, ID marks tend to depress the value of a lens or camera. You might want to ask a dealer what he would offer for the M2, and try to sell it for a slightly higher price than that offered by the dealer. Dan K.
