The front is threaded for 60mm. The serries VIII filter would slide inside the lens hood which then slips onto the lens. The hood would hold that filter. If you look at your hood you will see a little wheel on one side of the hood, depends on how you mounted it on the lens. This wheel is so that you can get the serries VIII polarizer and the wheel will rotate it. Quite a neat thing. Check around I am sure you could find the 60mm filters easier than the serries VIII filter. The filter connection is a good place to look 800-882-2832.
