Anyway, I have 1 LTM collapsible Summicron plus 2 Summitars and have been fortunate that each one has no problems with the front coatings (i.e. "cleaning marks"). I think that the Summicron is especially prone to this. Anyway, I guess its close enough to Friday (Hey it IS Friday in most of the world!) that I will repost one of the Summitars for sale. For Sale: 50mm F2 Summitar #6609xx. EX+ to Mint- condition and optics are Mint-. No cleaning marks or scratches that I can see. It does, however, have a few bubbles in the inner glass elements. There was a thread on this a week ago and it was common (even a sign of quality?) in glass during and before the 50's. This lens is from 1948, I believe. Comes with front Leica lens cap. $240 plus shipping.
