Nathan, Here's something to make you wonder. :-) William Albert Allard used to own and use three 50mm lenses, Noctilux, Summilux and Summicron. But he normally keeps shooting wide open all the time, so stopped down performance isn't much of a concern sine he had a Summicron. He used the lens that fit the specific situation because he felt they all had special characteristics wide open.
