Hi Jim,

most of the Leica glasses for the lense production in Solms are produced by 
Schott, Mainz in Germany. They get a pre-grinded crude lense from Schott. 
Maybe Schott produces glasses in Mainz or buys the Leica glasses anywhere in the 
world. The specification of the glass quality comes from Leica.
