The summilux is OK from f2.8 down, but at the wider aperatures it is so flare prone as to be nearly un-usable in some situations. The performance of the summicron 50 will be better than ANY 35, particularly at wider aperatures. At full aperature the summicron 50 is actually quite good, while the non aspheric 35 is pretty soft, especially at the edges. That said it is still one of the best 35's on the market, but will be pretty expensive with the goggles.. >From leica-users-admin@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Mon Dec 14 14:05:23 1998 >Received: (from majordom@localhost) > by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (8.9.1/8.9.1) id OAA11880; Mon, 14 Dec 1998 14:04:49 -0800 (PST) >Received: from nyct.net (bsd4.nyct.net [204.141.86.6]) > by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (8.9.1/8.9.1) with ESMTP id OAA11875; Mon, 14 Dec 1998 14:04:47 -0800 (PST) >Received: from currentu (ppp79.nyct.net [207.198.184.79]) > by nyct.net (8.8.8/8.8.7) with SMTP id RAA08912 > for <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us>; Mon, 14 Dec 1998 17:04:41 - -0500 (EST) > (envelope-from elmar@nyct.net) >Message-Id: <3.0.5.32.19981214165753.009662c0@mail.nyct.net> >X-Sender: elmar@mail.nyct.net >X-Mailer: QUALCOMM Windows Eudora Light Version 3.0.5 (32) >Date: Mon, 14 Dec 1998 16:57:53 -0500 >To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us >From: Michael Garmisa <elmar@nyct.net> >Subject: [Leica] 35 with M3 goggles >Mime-Version: 1.0 >Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" >Sender: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us >Precedence: bulk >Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > >I have decided to get a 35 with goggles for my M3.
