Nathan Fraud Probe Reportedly Targets Online Auction Company eBay Dow Jones Online News, Monday, December 14, 1998 at 02:32 (Published on Sunday, December 13, 1998 at 23:29) NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Online auction company eBay Inc. is currently under investigation by Oklahoma regional postal inspectors office for allegedly bilking eBay users for at least $30,000 and possibly as much as $100,000, Newsweek magazine reported. Newsweek said vendor Sonny Stemple would get people to send in money orders for items he claimed he had while never delivering the items.
