That is also why I have become an M devotee. When I walk around with my camera, whether here in Belgium or when travelling, I very rarely miss a longer lens than the 135mm. In fact, for street photography the vast majority of my images are taken with the wide angle lenses (the 35mm is my standard lens on the M6, the 50mm on the M3). Another factor to consider is weight: when I was in Madrid this summer, I could really feel the difference between walking around all day with an M system in my bag vs. an SLR system. I have kept one SLR (Pentax PZ1P) for the odd occasion where I need a long lens or autofocus or macro shots of bugs or flowers. But it sees little use on a daily basis. Of course, knowing that the resale value of this camera is relatively low makes it easier to justify keeping it "just in case". If it were a Leica R, this would be more difficult. That is why I sold my Hasselblad last year.
