The f/4 speed means slower shutter speeds in dim light; this coupled with the lens' length makes sharp images at the long end more difficult than with the 180/4. What I might be inclined to do in your case (and this is assuming compatibility, which as a non-user of Leica R I can't vouch for) is sell the 135 and purchase a 1.4x multiplier. In that way, you would have a 100/2.8, 140/4 *macro* (100 APO + 1.4x), 180/4, and a *small, light* 252/5.6 (180/4 + 1.4x) with the same close-focussing as the 180.
