If you study the habits of animals and use common sense, you can capture the personality of an animal without disturbing them. It used to be you could go to Jasper, Alberta in late June where you would find elk, sheep, goat and other mammals in abundance and they were relatively tame if you didn't invade their space. They were quite used to humans. Elk actually calved around Jasper to avoid having to deal with wolves. Later on, these animals moved into the mountains to feed and avoid the tourists. BTW, if the U.S. Government would follow the lead of Canada, they would prohibit the feeding of animals in parks (and make it stick). Bud
