Subject: Re: [Leica] Leica Seals

Hello,

As far as I know, there are several Leica seals, L, Y, and C. Leitz used
the seals through the early production run of the M4-2. L for Wetzlar, Y
for Leitz New York, and C for Leitz Canada. As you said, major overhaul
required the seal broken. The original seal means the body has never been
overhauled. I have heard that DAG uses his seal "92". I have heard
nothing about any seal on the M6 or later model than the M4-2.

Best Wishes,
David
