I (and I think many others) don't think of this as a "newsgroup". I have tried the REC.PHOTO... newsgroups a number of times and left each of them very quickly. As a lurker for the last 2 or 3 years, I consider the LUG more like a family gathering where the one thing we have in common is our interest in Leica, but we are also interested in each other as people. I am concerned that Eric has to go job hunting, I am thrilled that even though I had to cancel my attendance at Ted's Cape Cod workshop, Leon is going to send me a tape so I can see a bit of what went on. I was a member of the Photoforum on Compuserve for 12 or 13 years. I finally left because very few of the people I enjoyed were left. I still miss hearing their words of wisdom. Every time I use my 150mm Schnieder enlarging lens I think of Mike Johnson. This Users Group should always be primarily about Leicas and Photography, but it is also about the people. My two cents worth.... Ken > -----Original Message----- > From: Gary D.
