Is the OZTNO the same or is more userfriendly. I splutter. The OZTNO/14088 isn't "commonly" used as anything: it is a rather rare piece -- just try to find one to buy! I suppose it would work as a soft release, but not very well, and I certainly have never heard of anyone using it as such. It is much better at its intended purpose -- adapting LTM gear to M shutter releases. The APDOO and OZTNO combination is the factory solution to a self-timer on an M4-2, M4-P, M6, M1, MD, MDa, or MD-2. I wrote a piece on this for VIEWFINDER five years or so back, during Moss's first tenure as editor, but he never ran it. Marc
